ToolBox -

iSchool owned, Windows computers, are set up to periodically check-in with a license server on campus to verify the activation of:

Microsoft Windows (the operating system itself)
Microsoft Office

If you plan on being off campus for an extended amount of time, be sure to connect to Husky OnNet every once in a while, to maintain the activation of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

If:

a) you are off campus

and

b) your computer has not connected to Husky OnNet for quite some time

you can expect to see a prompt telling you that you are required to activate Microsoft Office or Microsoft Windows or both. To fix this, you can either:

a) connect to Husky OnNet, then wait. Your computer will “check in” with the on-campus license server, automatically, at a random time, to activate both Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, and the “activation required” messages will disappear.

or
