N:\\ Drive Network Share

The iSchool provides a shared collection of folders that are stored on a variety of different servers in the iSchool using a Microsoft Windows distributed file system (dfs). All of these folders are made accessible via a seamless logical structure known as the N: Drive (think of N: for iSchool Network) found in the Computer window.

N:\\Temporary Folders

  • Advantages
  • Accessible to everyone in iSchool
  • Everyone in iSchool can add or change (faculty, staff, and students)
  • Disadvantages
  • Everyone in iSchool can delete or change(faculty, staff, and students)
  • Deleted at end of quarter
  • 5GB storage limit

N:\\Faculty-GA  and  N:\\Staff-GA

Folders in these areas allow graduate assistants and faculty or staff shared access to data.
