In order to address the software and configuration requirements of the UW CAAMS system in an environment where the iSchool software image is constantly changing, iSchool IT has provisioned a VM (Virtual Machine) for this specific purpose. This VM has been properly configured and then ‘frozen’ so that it will never change. It is also accessible from off-campus 24/7/365.

Here is how to connect.

1) Launch Remote Desktop Connection (Windows) or the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (Mac OS).

2) Connect to

3) Specify the following username for this machine:

4) Enter the password that has been provided to you by iSchool IT.

5) When you log in as the icaams user, launch Internet Explorer and then click on the Picture Perfect link in the Favorites bar.

6) Now you can log into CAAMS with your CAAMS username and password.

Once you are done using CAAMS it is important that you log off both from CAAMS and from the remote computer. To log off from CAAMS:

File > Log off

Then click the Exit button.

To log off from the remote computer:

Start > Log off
