The iSchool offers VMware Fusion as the software option for faculty and staff for running Windows on a Mac.

VMware Fusion requires a zero-cost license key, and may be downloaded, and installed, following these steps:

1. Using your iSchool Apple computer, visit the VMware download website:

2. Click Sign In (top-right of the screen), sign in with your UW NetID credentials.

3. Click Faculty/Staff.

4. Search for the software named VMware Fusion 11.

5. The VMware website works much like any online web store. Add the VMware Fusion title to your “cart” and checkout.

6. Eventually, you will wind up with details for your “order.” The details will include a download for the installer and a serial number.

7. Download VMware Fusion, run the installer, and enter the serial number when asked.

8. Once VMware Fusion is installed, licensed, and running, contact the iSchool IT Help Desk for access to a Window VMware virtual machine.
